Let's talk about politics. or basic human rights. potato potahto.

So, ahem. Let me just clear my throat here before we get started.

Hi friends. Today we are going to talk about current events.

More specifically, abortion.

It came to the public's attention a few days ago when a supreme court ruling draft was leaked, that the supreme court may or may not have decided to repeal Roe v. Wade. If you don't know what that is, let me educate you really quickly. Roe v. Wade is a court case from 1973, that basically protects a person with a female reproductive system's right to have an abortion.

So yeah, pretty important.

Let's just state the basic facts.

People have abortions for a multitude of reasons. All of which are both valid and nobody's business but their own.

People have abortions when they have become pregnant when they feel they are too young.

People have abortions when they have become pregnant through sexual assault.

People have abortions when they are not financially or emotionally able to support a child, meaning that bringing the child into the world would cause the child harm.

People have abortions because they, quite plainly, have become pregnant by mistake and do not want to be a parent and subject their body to a pregnancy.

Did you know that giving birth in a hospital costs $13,000 in the America?

There is no reason that a team of mostly men. Rich white men. Should decide what people do with their bodies. Its nobody's business what other people do on their own time. Regardless of your religion or your beliefs or what you would do in their situation, it's not your body and it's not your choice. You can think whatever you want to think and believe whatever you believe, but your beliefs and opinions do not warrant control over other people.

Studies have shown that when abortion is banned, abortion rates do not go down, abortions simple become less safe for people to have. The only thing that changes is the amount of people who die getting an illegal procedure done. You cannot call yourself 'pro-life' and not believe in gun control. You cannot say that people can adopt the children that would have been aborted and then not allow gay people to adopt. You contradict yourself.

The bottom line is, no one other than the person whose the body belongs to gets a say in what happens to that body.

No one.
