1) For A Policeman You're Very Romantic
This playlist is based on a quote from a book called My Policeman, which caught my attention because Harry Styles and Emma Corrin are starring in the movie adaptation. The playlist consists of Pheobe Bridgers, FINNEAS, Harry Styles, and Lorde. It aims for a chill yet romantic and emotional vibe. The vibe of quiet, rainy, forbidden love stories told after dark in hushed whispers. I actually really love this playlist for homework.
2) The World Went Quiet
This playlist is inspired by the feeling of pure, rare, moments of bliss. Just plain old, run of the mill happiness where you think to yourself this is it. And suddenly you hate the idea of ever doing anything other than existing in the moment. Like dancing in the rain, drinking seasonal cider with your friends, going as high as possible on swing in a playground after dark, just laughing until your ribs hurt.
3) Some People Are Worth Melting For
This playlist is based on friendship and like happy, indie movie, montages from the early 2000's/90s. It's just the feeling of like man, i love you guys. Like where would we be without our friends? I'm personally really fond of this playlist because I have what my therapist likes to call 'premature nostalgia' for my teenage years. (yes im 13 shut up)
4) It's Summer, Should We Fall In Love?
This playlist is a personal favorite because every year, when summer rolls around I get to rediscover it and then retire it all over again. It consists of chill vibes and that airy, happy feeling when for once in your life you aren't overly anxious about your grades or life in general. It stems from the feeling of relaxes Sundays at the end of August at the beach or in the car, driving for hours, drinking a strawberry lemonade and listening to early One Direction purely for the nostalgia of shocking yourself by knowing all the words.
5) Teenage Nostalgia, Baby
This playlist is sad bops by Pheobe Bridgers and Taylor Swift about returning to your hometown during the rainy, cold, dark seasons and running into your old best friends, enemies or lovers. The awkward what now? moment, and the longing to just be a kid again (yes i am 13 and what about it). I find this playlist to be the best rainy day comfort. The Notebook, anyone?
